Being Vice President of Kyambogo University makes me the top female student leader of the second largest academic institution in Uganda, with a population of over 25,000 students, 57% of whom are female. I cannot say that the position is not challenging, but I trust that God will guide me to serve the students with integrity, humility, inclusiveness, and tolerance as I continue to pursue and complete my Bachelors Degree in Economics and Statistics.

Prime Minister Accepts to be Patron of IDA
A group of youth from different countries across Africa under their umbrella Inspirational Development Africa (IDA) met the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda Rt. Hon. Amama Mbabazi (centre) at his office on 28th March 2014 led by their president Dr. Paul Bamutaze (in red tie) and the Chairperson of Inspirational Development Uganda (IDA-Uganda Chapter) Ms. Winifred Nakandi (next to Prime Minister). It was at this event that the Prime Minister gladly accepted to be the Patron of the organization. Other members present were representatives from Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Eritrea, Somalia, Rwanda, Congo, South Sudan, Egypt among others.
The Prime Minister urged these youth to advocate for security in the country because it is paramount for any country's development and to exercise good leadership right from their youth stage. "Leadership has been our greatest weakness as a continent, when you look at the history of Africa and all the issues that brought about the different revolutions and rebellions in Africa, it all revolves around leadership. Hence I welcome this idea of Inspirational Development Africa which brings youth on board to prepare them for leadership", the Prime Minister noted.

Graduation Pics
It was a joyous mood at Kyambogo University as yours truly graduated with a first class Diploma in Micro Finance. The best comes to those who go an extra mile.
"The Sky is actually below the limit, it is the first step I've taken in my academic journey, it is still a long way, so much has to be accomplished academically and socially".

Finally, the rains are here!
It's been three months of a dry spell in Kampala and most parts of Uganda. This has left many Ugandans especially agriculturalists suffering, and has as a result led to hiking of prices for different commodities due to their scarcity.
At last, thanks to God, the rain is here in abundance. It is actually raining every other minute of the day.
